Over the years I have come to believe that a healthy body allows you to live a fuller life. Whether it's traveling the country with my husband, spending time with family and friends, or saying yes to a new adventure, I never want my health to be the thing that holds me back. That's what movement has always represented to me, not an obsession with fitness, but the freedom to fully enjoy the life I've been given.
Growing up, I spent 18 years dancing, and that's where I first discovered how much I enjoyed moving my body. Dance taught me discipline, consistency, and the joy of challenging myself in a creative way. Those lessons stayed with me long after my dance career ended.
When Hayden and I started CrossFit together, I quickly realized it was so much more than just a workout. I loved that it challenged me to become stronger in practical ways while keeping movement fun and constantly changing, but more than anything, I fell in love with the community. It’s the best feeling to be surrounded by people who encourage one another, celebrate each other's wins, and make every class enjoyable, and I genuinely look forward to showing up. For me, that's one of the greatest things CrossFit offers, you're not just building strength, you're building relationships that make living a healthy lifestyle something you actually enjoy.
Another reason CrossFit has become such a meaningful part of my life is because of Hayden. His passion for fitness, coaching, and helping people is contagious. I love celebrating the small wins, encouraging others, and helping create an environment where everyone feels welcomed and supported.
Outside of the gym, Hayden and I own a content creation and marketing company that allows us to travel the country and work with unique vacation properties. Whether we're traveling, spending time with family and friends, or simply enjoying everyday life, I'm grateful for a healthy body that allows me to experience it all.
For me, CrossFit has never been about chasing the next PR. It's about building a life where I'm healthy enough to say \"yes\" to adventures, relationships, and the experiences that matter most.
For me, CrossFit isn't about chasing the next PR (although reaching goals and accomplishing things I once thought were out of reach is incredibly rewarding), it’s about building a life where I'm healthy enough to say \"yes\" to adventures, relationships, and the experiences that matter most.
One of the biggest turning points in my life wasn't a single event, it was watching people I love gradually lose the ability to do the things they once enjoyed because their health no longer allowed them to.
Seeing that changed the way I viewed movement and taking care of my body. I realized that health isn't just about today, it's about protecting the ability to keep saying "yes" to the people, places, and experiences you love for years to come.
It's not about being the strongest person in the room, it's about building a body that's capable of embracing adventures, serving others, and continuing to enjoy the people I love for as long as possible.
