Coach
I was originally drawn to CrossFit because of the community. There is something powerful about tackling difficult challenges alongside others. It creates shared experiences, builds trust, and fosters meaningful relationships. That sense of connection remains one of the aspects I value most about CrossFit and is the reason I find coaching so rewarding.
Before discovering CrossFit, I competed in collegiate track and field and played basketball and baseball throughout high school. Since then, CrossFit has become an integral part of my life. The constant opportunity for growth and improvement is what makes it so engaging. At 51, I continue to move well, develop new skills, and challenge myself to improve.
What I enjoy most about coaching is helping others recognize their potential and supporting them as they become stronger, more capable versions of themselves. Our gym is built on a foundation of encouragement and resilience, and the growth achieved at CFGC often extends far beyond fitness by positively influencing families, careers, and purpose.
My own journey has taught me to value movement as one of life’s greatest gifts. It is something to preserve, protect, and appreciate whenever possible. For that reason, I believe training with an eye toward long-term health and capability is far more meaningful than pursuing a personal record today.
